In 2014, Boeree, a dedicated philanthropist, helped establish Raising for Effective Giving, an initiative aimed at generating funds from the poker community to support various non-profit organizations. She expresses her thoughts on charitable contributions by stating, 'The earnings from poker provide an opportunity to significantly impact lives. By allocating a portion of my winnings to highly effective charities, we can assist those facing the most urgent challenges.'

Beyond her looks, Boeree engages in various activities including equestrian sports, electric guitar playing, modeling, presenting, and holds a first-class honors degree in Physics with Astrophysics from the University of Manchester. Notably, in 2011, she participated in a special holiday edition of the University Challenge quiz show featuring celebrities.
Boeree's entry into the poker scene came when she was chosen as one of five participants for the reality TV program Ultimatepoker.com Showdown aired on Channel 5. Five years later, she achieved a remarkable victory at the 2010 European Poker Tour, earning around $1.7 million. Currently, she holds the #2 spot on the ladies' Global Poker Index and is #6 among all-time female poker earners.
