Sit & Go Poker Tournaments
A Sit & Go tournament is a type of poker competition that involves a set number of participants, typically ranging from 2 to 120 players, and it kicks off as soon as all available spots are filled. To find out how to register for a Sit & Go tournament, please refer to the Join a Tournament , section titled Getting Started on this site. Players can sign up for a maximum of six tournaments and may actively engage in two at the same time.
As soon as the required number of players has signed up, a Sit & Go tournament will begin. Upon entering the tournament, players will need to purchase a buy-in, which can differ based on the specific tournament. Additionally, there may be a tournament fee that participants must pay. At various stages, many tournaments will offer options for rebuys and add-ons.
When the tournament is ready to start, players will randomly be assigned to tables. At each table, an initial card draw will determine which player, based on the highest-ranked card by suit, will start as the dealer.
In cases where the Sit & Go tournament uses multiple tables, active participants may be shuffled between tables as the tournament unfolds and players are eliminated (run out of chips).
The blinds in the tournament will escalate over time, following a set schedule. This schedule for increasing stakes is available in the Tournament Lobby (see the Guide to the Tournament Lobby in the Our Software section of this site). There are no breaks during Sit & Go tournaments.
If a tournament needs to be canceled due to technical issues, players who have already been eliminated will forfeit their buy-ins and fees. Those still in the game will receive refunds for their buy-ins and entry fees, and the remaining buy-ins from eliminated players will be shared equally among them, regardless of their chip counts when the tournament was stopped.
The player who is the last one standing in the tournament (having bagged all the chips) will be declared the winner. The prizes for the tournaments are determined based on the Tournament Prize Pool Structure , found in the Tournament section of this site.
