Here’s how it works

In knockout (KO) tournaments, players compete in a multi-table tournament environment where every participant has a cash bounty on their head. When one player is successful in removing an opponent from the game, they receive the corresponding bounty as a financial reward!
There's no need for players to pay an additional cost for their bounty; it is included within the overall buy-in fee.

Elimination and multi-way

KO elimination occurs when a player knocks out an opponent, winning their bounty, by having a stronger hand while also being all-in.
In a situation where multiple players are involved in a pot at the time of an elimination, the player who wins the hand only claims the bounty if they have enough chips to cover the eliminated player. If not, the bounty is awarded to the winner of the side pot. If two or more players possess the same winning hand and have the eliminated player covered, the bounty will be split equally among them.

Winnings and prizes

The money gained from the KO bounty will only be delivered to the player when the tournament concludes. The tournament champion will receive their own bounty alongside any additional bounties collected during the event. Standard tournament prizes are allocated as per the predetermined prize structure, regardless of the players who claimed KO bounties.

Progressive knockout tournaments

Progressive knockout tournaments offer an exciting twist on traditional knockout formats. In contrast to standard knockout tournaments where the bounty amount remains fixed throughout, in a progressive knockout tournament, a player's bounty grows as they advance in the competition. Each time a player eliminates another, they receive a percentage (typically 50%) of the eliminated player's bounty into their account, while the remainder is added to their own bounty, effectively raising it.
For instance, a progressive knockout tournament with an entry fee of $11 might break down as follows: $5 contributes to the overall prize pool, $5 goes towards the knockout bounty, and $1 is the tournament fee.

  • At the commencement of the tournament, all players begin with an equal bounty valuation of $5.
  • When player A knocks out player B, player A collects 50% of player B's bounty ($2.50) into their balance while the other half ($2.50) increases player A's own bounty.
  • Following this knockout, player A's bounty now totals $7.50.

See you at the tables!
