Explanation of Cooler
One of the most frequently mentioned cooler situations in Texas Hold'em is the clash between pocket Aces and pocket Kings before the flop. Since numerous strategic guides recommend never to fold pocket Kings when facing effective stacks of 100bb or less, if our opponent reveals pocket Aces, we simply have to accept it as an unfortunate turn of events.
While experiencing coolers can feel immensely frustrating, over the long haul, we should cool our opponents just as often as they cool us. Therefore, cooler scenarios should not significantly alter a player’s overall winning percentage.
For instance, if we were to use the term cooler in a sentence -> There’s absolutely no way we could have thrown away our top full house; it becomes just a classic cooler when our opponent is revealed to have quads.
