That same year, as a noteworthy milestone, Vivian Saliba made history as the youngest female participant in the World Series of Poker Main Event by entering at 24 years old. Her journey to this point included achieving her best tournament result of $47,923 in Event #54: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship. This was her second appearance at the WSOP, and her debut in the Main Event, where she achieved a respectable 421st place, earning $27,743. Her growing popularity in Brazil benefited from her exposure on Poker Go. Saliba's poker journey began at the age of 12 while on a family vacation. Six years later, her father introduced her to a Brazilian card club, where she became intrigued by the social dynamics of the game. A further five years down the line, Saliba went professional, focusing primarily on pot-limit Omaha, her game of choice. In late 2017, she triumphed at the 888poker LIVE London Ladies Event and officially became a member of the 888poker team while competing in the World Series of Poker Europe at King’s Casino in Rozvadov. As of August 2023, her total tournament earnings stood at $793,787 according to The Hendon Mob, which includes a career-high of $308,888 from finishing fourth in the 2019 WSOP Event #64: $888 Crazy Eights. With four final tables at the WSOP to her name—two in Pot-Limit Omaha and two in No-Limit Hold'em—she skillfully plays in both formats today, in both online and live tournaments.
